ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Mallory Inez Blackwood is a young singer/songwriter from the Upstate of South Carolina. Without hesitation she recently moved to Southwestern Virginia for community, agriculture, and music. While genre hopping may be her favorite thing to do, her music has a distinct sound with hints of bluegrass, folk, and old-time. Most of her originals are deep and often hard to follow, but if you lend an ear she will be willing to explain with words or strings.

Evan Castagna is a singer and guitarist from North Carolina who celebrates the music of the mid-century American folk music revival and its techniques and traditions.

Ashe County’s Scot Pope may best be described as a balladier. His music selections are of the 1960s, 70s and 80s “folk rock” era in his renderings of songs by James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Young, etc. as well as covers by bands like America, Eagles and the Beatles.
