for the Arts

Friends for the Arts is a joyful, community-driven fundraiser that brings people together to celebrate and support the arts in Ashe County. As a host, you’re invited to create a gathering that reflects your own interests and creativity—whether it’s a dinner party, hike, jam session, workshop, or something entirely your own—and invite friends to join you.

Guests make a suggested donation (typically around $40) to the Ashe County Arts Council when they attend your event, turning your time together into meaningful support for local arts programming, education, and cultural events.

Held between May 1 and June 22, Friends for the Arts is a chance to connect, create, and give back, all in a way that feels personal, fun, and uniquely yours. We’ll provide helpful tools and ideas along the way.
