Ashe Arts Invites Local Writers Wordkeepers Gathering
The Ashe County Arts Council invites writers from across the High Country to join the next Wordkeepers event on Saturday, December 20th, at 4 pm. Music by Scot Pope and Loftin Hargrave begins at 3:30 pm.

Wordkeepers is a volunteer-led community program that offers writers a welcoming space to share their original work. Each reader is given an eight-minute time slot, reserved in advance with the program’s contact person. Wordkeepers draws a lively mix of local writers, and non-writers are warmly encouraged to join the audience and enjoy an afternoon of readings.Refreshments will be provided, and audience members should note that some readings may include adult themes.
