Artists Asked to Submit Information to Arts Council

The Ashe County Arts Council has opportunities for artists to exhibit their work in a variety of exhibition sites that include The Gallery of the Ashe Arts Center, Ashe Memorial Hospital Cafeteria Gallery and Mountain Hearts. The Arts Council’s  purpose is to encourage and broaden the appreciation of the visual arts in Ashe County through ongoing exhibits as well as support and nurture emerging and established artists in our local area.

To be considered for exhibits, an artist must have completed an Artist Data Sheet  with a brief biographical sketch and required slides or photos or samples of work attached. This information goes into Arts Council’s files and is reviewed by the Gallery Exhibit committee as each  new exhibit is planned the committee extends  invitations to artists whose work is appropriate for the style or theme of a particular exhibit.

If you are interested in any of the exhibits listed please let us know and the your name will be given to the committee. All artwork must be original and must have been created within three years of the exhibition.

If you are an artist new to the area, or an artist who would like to update their information call or come by the Ashe Arts Center for more information.
